U.S. Soccer Drops Saudi Arabia
Roy Lassiter put aside his legal troubles and scored the game-winning goal as the United States rallied from a three-goal deficit to defeat Saudi Arabia 4-3 in an exhibition match in Washington D.C..
Lassiter, who faces a court date today to answer 3-year-old charges of breaking and entering and forgery, headed in Tab Ramos’ cross in the 67th minute.
Ramos, defender Alexi Lalas (36th minute) and striker Joe-Max Moore (49th) also scored for the U.S.
The Seattle Sounders beat the visiting Atlanta Ruckus 3-0 to even the A-League’s best-of-three championship soccer series at one game apiece.
