Darrin Smith, who missed the Dallas Cowboys’ first six games, finally agreed to a contract that will pay him for the final 10 games of the season.
Terms of the contract were not released, but Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said the deal leaves the team about $25,000 under the NFL’s $37.1 million salary cap. Jones said the deal includes performance bonuses.
Jones said he expects Smith to play Oct. 29 at Atlanta - the game in which cornerback Deion Sanders is expected to debut.
