William Ramsey Medical Lake

Graveside service for William Adams “Bill” Ramsey, 79, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Fairmount Memorial Park. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Cheney, Mr. Ramsey died Friday.

He graduated from North Central High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University in physical education and a master’s degree in physical education from the University of Idaho. He received two doctorates, one from Western States Chiropractic College in chiropractic from and from Farragut College in Idaho in naturopathy.

He worked at the physical education department at EWU for a few years and practiced as a chiropractor and naturopath in Sandpoint. He taught high school in Kettle Falls and retired in the 1980s.

He was a member of the Washington Education Association.

He is survived by his wife of nine years, Minnie Ramsey; three sons, James Ramsey of Kennewick, Michael Ramsey of Spokane, and Matthew Ramsey of Snohomish, Wash.; one daughter, Susan Rodman of Spokane; two stepdaughters, Minnie Cummins of Seattle, and Exa Emerson of Medical Lake; two brothers, Jack Ramsey of Spokane and Ray Ramsey of Post Falls.

Lester Runnels Priest River, Idaho

Service for Lester Runnels, 85, will be at 11 a.m. today at Priest River Community Congregational Church. Burial will follow at Newport (Wash.) Cemetery. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Runnels died Wednesday at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

He was born in Newport and graduated from high school there.

He went to work as a bookkeeper for Mountain States Power Co., and later became a lineman for them. He moved to Priest River when Mountain States was bought out by Pacific Power and Light, and retired as a lineman manager in 1972.

He was a former city councilman and mayor of Priest River, and was a member of Priest River Lions Club, Priest River Chamber of Commerce, Priest River Community Congregational Church and was a deacon emeritus of Newport First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mae; two daughters, Kathleen Veltri and Charleen Swisher, both of Spokane; one sister, Katherine O’Brien of Spokane; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Augustus O’Connell Wallace, Idaho

Graveside service for Augustus O’Connell, 80, will be on today at 2 p.m. at the Nine Mile Cemetery in Wallace. Shoshone Funeral Service of Wallace is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. O’Connell, who was born in Iowa, died Friday at the Silver Valley Medical Center in Silverton, Idaho.

He attended Notre Dame College and served in the Navy during World War II. He moved to North Idaho in 1944 and worked for the Hecla Mining Co. as a welder, before retiring in 1965. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Post in Osburn, Idaho, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include a son, David, of Coeur d’Alene; and two grandchildren.

Jesse Seiber Sandpoint

Private family service for Jesse Harvey Seiber, 47, will be held at a later date. Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Seiber, who was born in Hawthorne, Calif., died Monday in Spokane.

He moved to Nampa, Idaho, in the 1950s and returned to California and graduated from high school in 1966.

He had worked in the automotive industry in Long Beach, California, before moving to Sandpoint in 1992.

Mr. Seiber was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Seiber of Long Beach; brothers, Everett and Michael, both of California; and a sister, LaVerna Seiber of California.

Agnes Walli Spokane

Service for Agnes Myrella Walli, 88, will be at 11 a.m. today at Selbu Lutheran Church, near LaCrosse. Burial will follow at Selbu Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Walli died Wednesday at North Central Care Center in Spokane.

She was born in Lanesboro, Minn.

She received a teaching degree from Colorado State Teachers College and taught in one-room schools in eastern Colorado.

She moved to LaCrosse with her husband, following their marriage in 1938.

Her husband died in 1989, and Mrs. Walli moved to Spokane to live with her daughter.

She was a member of Selbu Lutheran Church and LaCrosse Ladies Reading Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Walli of Spokane; one sister, Thelma Feiring of Longmont, Colo.

Memorial contributions may be made to Selbu Lutheran Church.

Nathan Bush Sagle, Idaho

Private family service for infant Nathan Roger Bush, will be held at a later date. Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint is in charge of arrangements.

Nathan was born in Spokane on Oct. 4. He died on Oct. 7.

He is survived by his parents, Donald and Brenda Bush, at the home; Nathan’s twin brother, Ryan, and brother, Kyle, both at home; grandparents, Carol Bradetich of Spokane, Joe and Carol Bush, and Roger and Sharon Harris, all of Sagle; and great-grandparents.

Edith Johnson Spokane

Private memorial service for Edith H. Johnson, 89, will be held at a later date. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson, who was born in Helena, Mont., died Tuesday.

She worked as a receptionist at Riverview Terrace Retirement Center for more than 20 years and retired in 1982. She also worked as a secretary at Salem Lutheran Church.

She had lived in Spokane for more than 50 years and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Electa Chapter, and the American Association of Retired Persons.

She is survived by one niece, Shirley Durkin of Spokane; two great-grandnephews and one great-grandniece.

Gordon Trombley Boise

Service for Gordon Clow Trombley, 73, was held Friday in Boise. Cloverdale-Gibson Funeral Home of Boise was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Trombley, a former Idaho State Lands commissioner, died Wednesday in Boise.

He was born in Minnesota and raised by Eleanor Trombley after his mother died when he was 4 years old. He graduated from high school in Minnesota and served four years in the European Theatre as a glider pilot with the Army Air Corps., during World War II.

He went on to graduate from Michigan Technological University in 1952 and moved to Idaho, where he worked for the Potlatch Corp.

Mr. Trombley went on to become the Idaho State Land commissioner and also worked for the Idaho Forestry Dept., and was an assistant state forester-timber manager. He was also a founding designer of the Department of Public Lands Office and served as State Lands commissioner. He was also affiliated with several timber protective associations and the Western States Land Commissioners Association.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, at home; sons, Gordon of Kent, Wash., and Steven of Greer, Idaho; daughter, Susan Leise of Spokane; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Bert Noblet Scholarship Fund at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan.
