WSU Announces Students On Summer Honor Roll

Several Inland Northwest students attending Washington State University were named to the President’s Honor Roll for the summer semester.

Haydn Morgan, longtime trustee of Whitworth College was presented with the 1995 George Frederick Whitworth Medal, the college’s highest award for service. He was recognized for 32 years of service and support to the school.

Morgan was vice president of merchandising with the former Crescent department store, and later was in the marketing division of Fidelity Mutual Savings.

He is past chairman of the Spokane Better Business Bureau and a co-founder of Spokane’s Union Gospel Mission. He has served as an elder at First Presbyterian Church, past president of the Spokane Music and Allied Arts Festivals, and past vice-president of the Spokane Symphony Association.

Katrina Taft, Ione, Wash., has had her poem “Who Am I” published by The National Library of Poetry in the anthology, “A Moment in Time.”
