Rain Gives Little Second Spot

Compiled From Wire Services

Rain washed out qualifying for today’s AC-Delco 200 Busch Grand National stock car race at North Carolina Motor Speedway in Rockingham, N.C.

NASCAR officials established a 43-car lineup for the 200-mile race by points, giving series points leader Johnny Benson the pole with Spokane native Chad Little starting second.

In Aida, Japan, David Coulthard won the pole, and Williams Renault teammate Damon Hill was second in qualifying for the Pacific Grand Prix.
