Auction Will Offer Spot On Iditarod Dog Sled

The Eagle Bend golf course, near Bigfork, Mont., is being transformed next Sunday into what is billed as “the world’s hardest golf course for the day, with tee markers and pins placed in strategically difficult locations.”

News of note in the Emerald City:
Hale’s Ales newest brewery in the Fremont neighborhood will add a brewpub in early November. The 125-seat pub will include a direct view of the brewery’s working area; call (206) 706-1544.
Key Arena at Seattle Center is scheduled to open next Saturday. The new home of the Seattle SuperSonics boasts a lowered event floor to allow for 3,000 more seats, new seats and scoreboard, a new roof and a 650-space parking structure nearby.
The new arena is not the only renovation at the Seattle Center. Also opening Oct. 28 will be the renewed Center House and a multimillion-dollar renovation to the International Fountain.
The Children’s Museum at the center has tripled in size and reopened this month with three new exhibits, including the Mountain Forest exhibit, the Global Village exhibit and the Discovery Bay for toddlers.
