Compiled From Wire Services

Michael Jordan scored 27 points and Scottie Pippen added 21 Saturday night, leading the Chicago Bulls to a 101-97 NBA exhibition victory over the visiting Seattle SuperSonics.

Dennis Rodman grabbed 15 rebounds for the Bulls, who are 5-1 in the preseason.

Sam Perkins scored 20 points for Seattle, which had its three-game winning streak snapped. Top draft pick Sherell Ford, a former Chicago high school star and Illinois-Chicago standout, scored 18 points in his most extensive exhibition action.

Ford’s free throw with 5:02 to play capped a 10-0 run that gave the SuperSonics a 90-89 lead.

Randy Brown made a layup to put the Bulls back on top. Jud Buechler, fighting for Chicago’s last roster spot, followed with a 3-pointer and Pippen made a 20-foot jumper for a 96-90 lead with 2:25 left.

After a layup by Hersey Hawkins pulled Seattle to 97-95, Jordan made four free throws in the closing seconds to clinch it.

The two-time NBA champion Houston Rockets can now claim another title: world champions.

With Robert Horry and Clyde Drexler leading a third-quarter charge, the Rockets pulled away and beat Italy’s Buckler Bologna 126-112 in the final of the McDonald’s Championship in London. Drexler was also named MVP.

Washington Bullets forward Chris Webber dislocated his left shoulder during the first quarter of the Bullets win over the Indiana Pacers and will have it examined today by team doctors.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Vin Baker, an All-Star last season, sprained his right ankle in an exhibition game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was injured while positioning himself for an offensive rebound.

Center Victor Alexander failed his physical, causing the Cleveland Cavaliers to rescind a trade that sent Harold Miner to the Toronto Raptors.
