Fairchild Building New Survival School
A $3.5 million academic complex is under construction at Fairchild Air Force Base.
The new academic facility will replace World War II-era buildings used now to instruct 4,000 students coming through the school annually for survival training.
Survival officials held a ground-breaking ceremony Thursday for the 42,000-square-foot complex.
Features of the building include three large classrooms, smaller lab rooms and office space.
