Personal: Age 65…born in Great Barrington, Mass…. graduate of North Idaho College…U.S. Air Force air and space photographer for 20 years…moved to CdA in 1968 and raised tree seedlings at the U.S. Forest Service nursery for 20 years…active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars including service as president of its national children’s home; serving his 12th year on the Idaho governor’s Veterans Affairs Commission…married, two grown children.

Issues: The city needs to raise funds without raising taxes, including pushing the Legislature to allow impact fees and a local hotel-motel tax. Worries about the effects of growth on schools; says it’s important to keep air and water clean as the city expands. He disagrees with the City Council decision to annex Blackwell Island, because it’s below the flood plain.
