Forum On Reading Scheduled
A public forum on how to improve the teaching of reading will be held Wednesday evening at the Spokane School District board room.
The forum at 200 N. Bernard from 7-9 p.m. is a follow-up to a new law requiring reading-proficiency testing of all state public school third-graders.
Reading experts will make presentations to the state House Education Subcommittee on Reading. Teachers from successful Spokane-area reading programs will discuss their techniques.
The public is encouraged to participate in the forum.
