Raf Airmen Found Deep In Lake Ontario
The bodies of seven British airmen have been found in the wreckage of a Royal Air Force warplane that crashed in a lake before horrified spectators at a Canadian airshow.
The four-engine Nimrod, taking part in the Canadian National Exhibition near Toronto, plunged into Lake Ontario on Saturday and broke apart about 1-1/2 miles from shore.
The Royal Air Force said Sunday that divers found the plane broken in four pieces under 70 feet of water. The bodies of the seven crewmen were still inside the aircraft.
