Big 12 Seeks Title Site

The Big 12 Conference has narrowed the sites to four - including Texas Stadium, but not the Cotton Bowl - where it could play a potential championship football game. And over a period of five to six years, as many as three of those sites could host the title game between division winners.

Big 12 Commissioner Steve Hatchell and three of the league’s athletic directors today will inspect Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., and the Trans World Dome in St. Louis.

The same group will inspect Texas Stadium and the Astrodome in Houston Sept. 13.
