Ticket Program Puts Buyers On Pedestal

There are plain tickets, and then there are Hot Tickets.

Hot Tickets is a special program that, for an annual fee, allows members to purchase tickets in a special reserved section. It’s good for any event except hockey. Also, members get to hang out before, during and after the event in the Arena Club, a restaurant-lounge with a view of the stage and the floor.

The cost: An initiation fee of $400 per membership, plus an annual membership fee of $400 per year.

The price of the tickets is extra. However, once you pony up your membership money, you can use a special members’ hotline to purchase seats in a special reserved section.

Here’s what you really get for your money: the chance to have the best seats for any show without having to wait in line when tickets go on sale. That, and the chance to nosh in the Arena Club.

According to Scott Middleton, the Arena’s food and beverage director, the Arena Club will serve light fare such as sandwiches and pasta.

Hot Tickets members also get: a private entrance into the Arena; an annual Hot Tickets membership party; waiver of the ticket service charges; and the opportunity to book the Arena Club for special events.

The membership is restricted to 400; call 324-7000 for more information.

The Spokane Chiefs have a similar program called the All-Hockey Club. This is strictly for people who already have season tickets. For a $300 initiation fee and annual dues of $200, you get to use the Arena Club before, during and after games.

The Chiefs also have another special ticket deal, called Super Seats. For $375, you can get season tickets in the four top rows of seats in the lower section. These seats are wider and roomier than the rest of the seats, and they have more leg room.

And for $400, the Chiefs even offer a Super Seats package with waiter service. The food comes to you. These seats have proven to be so popular, they have already sold out. For more information call 328-0450.
