Domestic Dispute Stops Traffic
Traffic was blocked for more than an hour on Inland Empire Way in southwest Spokane on Friday night after police swarmed the area in response to a domestic dispute.
The Spokane Police Department got a call about a man armed with a weapon at 2705 S. Inland Empire Way about 7:30 p.m., Lt. Jim Nicks said.
Police and the Washington State Patrol blocked off Inland Empire Way from 25th to 28th avenues because they weren’t sure if Kenny Fisette was armed and in the area after a dispute with his wife.
Later, authorities believed Fisette had fled the area. Officers interviewed his wife and recovered a rifle from a vehicle.
Nicks said police aren’t sure they will arrest Fisette on a fourth-degree assault charge. But they do want to speak with him. His wife was staying at another home Friday night. By 8:45 p.m., police left the scene.
