Priest River received scoring runs of 8 and 10 yards from Adam Lamb and the Spartans were able to convert one extra point to edge the Grtizzlies.
The Spartans improved their record to 3-0, their best start since 1988.

Quarterback Ian Reuter passed for three touchdowns and the defense added a score on Adam Walker’s 30-yard interception return in the visiting Wampus Cats’ first victory of the year over the Warriors.
Reuter threw for 162 yards on 14-of-32 passing and Blaine and Brent Stevens each rushed for 95 yards.
