Issues: Downtown: The core area has to be maintained to keep attracting tourism. Supports public-private partnerships.

Consolidation: Opposes it due to concerns it will cost jobs. Thinks the charter as it’s written will “cause a whole lot of confusion.”

Public Safety: Considers it the No. 1 concern. Supports community-oriented policing. Supports tougher sentencing for juveniles.
