Raid Nets Pot Plants

Authorities raided a Spokane home Friday and discovered nearly 100 marijuana plants, including one growing in the resident’s garden.

The man who owns the home at 1024 W. York, Lawrence M. Vineyare, 45, was arrested on a felony charge of manufacturing marijuana, Sheriff’s Sgt. George Wigen said.

The sheriff’s department searched the home Friday afternoon after receiving a tip from another law enforcement agency that the man was growing marijuana. Vineyare was home at the time of the search. He lives alone and there are no other suspects in the case, Wigen said.
