Kalitta Wins Keystone Nationals
Scott Kalitta won his fourth Top Fuel title of the year, beating Larry Dixon in the final of the NHRA Keystone Nationals in Mohnton, Pa., with a quarter-mile run of 4.801 seconds at 298.90 mph.
Chuck Etchells beat John Force in the Funny Car division, 6.121 to 6.350. Warren Johnson won his his sixth Pro Stock title of the year, beating Mark Pawuk.
Crewman Terry Huntsinger, from Spartanburg, S.C., was treated and released and Fred Sharples, a NASCAR official from Ormond Beach, Fla., and crewmen Patrick Beckley, also from Spartanburg, were upgraded to fair condition at a Dover, Del., hospital after being injured by a fire in the pits during the MBNA 200 stock car race Saturday.
