Get A Hunch, Bet A Bunch

With major money on the line, it’s hard to ignore tonight’s twin trifecta, even though there’s a bang-up mile feature that matches a fistful of Playfair favorites.

Plunder Road and Fogbank are the horses to beat in the sixth and seventh races. If it’s muddy, don’t leave We Ain’t Dancin and Mucho Mudrun out of your sixth-race picks. Tension Mounts may be a good saver in the seventh.

Spokane jockey Robert Colton has a mount in the simulcast stakes race from the Meadowlands.

Here are tonight’s selections:

$5 daily doubles pairing FLYING KIND in the first race with J.B.’s GONE and T R COUNTRY BOY in the second and a $2 double with SAVE SAVE SAVE ($12).

THIRD: $10 to win on STORM ROAD. Parlay any winnings to STORM ROAD in the sixth.

FOURTH: $5 to win on ROSE TO GLORY.

SIXTH: $2 twin trifectas pairing PLUNDER ROAD with every combination of LYIN’ LAFEAR, BRASS BOBBY and WE AIN’T DANCIN twice ($24). Exchange to FOGBANK and B.B.’s TIGER both ways with RUNNIN WRITER.

EIGHTH:$5 quinella box of HOPE’S RULLAH, EARLY SHOVE and EL CABRIO ($15).

Original bankroll: $2,000.

Wednesday’s result: Lost $31.

Present bankroll: $2,037.10.
