Death Scene

Tasha Lowe Newport

the sky so gray

the beginning of day

can’t see a thing

hear a bird sing

not much hope

can i cope

with life being death

and death being life?

a thought too deep

to utter a peep about

i let out a shout

is anyone there

does anyone care

I look at the ground so far below

my life is good, so

to every one who sees inside

my life is a ride

the winds so cold

am i that bold

one last shove

what does this remind you of

the death scene of a romantic play

or a girl committing suicide on a gray day
