Grizzlies End Slump Just In Time
NBA
Vancouver snapped its 23-game losing streak, beating visiting Minnesota Wednesday night on a last-second basket by Blue Edwards that prevented the Grizzlies from tying the NBA record for most consecutive losses.
Edwards sank the winning shot from the top of the key with .8 seconds left. The basket capped a big comeback by the Grizzlies, who trailed by 12 points after three quarters before going on a 16-0 run in the final period.
The Grizzlies fell one loss short of the record set by the Cleveland Cavaliers over two seasons in 1982.
