Developer, Former Teenage Actor Dies

William T. Dawson, a real estate developer and former banker and teen actor, died of cancer Monday. He was 69.

Dawson founded the Dawson Development Co. of Seal Beach in 1969 and launched a $100 million development of condominiums.

In the 1960s, Dawson served as president of the National Bank of Commerce and Golden West Airlines. He also served as president of the Hollywood advertising agency Holzer, Taylor McTighe & Dawson.

In the 1940s, Dawson had roles in “Knute Rockne - All American,” “Remember the Day,” “A Dispatch from Reuters,” “The Major and the Minor” and “Lady in the Dark.”
