Scholarship Season Money Available For Former Hamblen Students, Stevens County Teens

Here are a couple of specialized scholarships for special people.

The Hamblen Elementary School PTG is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who attended Hamblen for grades 4 through 6. Your application will be judged on grades, test scores, school and community involvement, recommendations and a 300-word essay.

Ask your senior class adviser for complete information. The deadline is April 15, so hurry.

The Stevens County Republican Women will give a $250 scholarship available to all 1996 graduating seniors in Stevens County. Information is available at any Stevens County high school, or call 684-2629 for more information.
