Lyle Mouton hit a threerun homer with one out in the 11th inning Thursday, giving Chicago a win and sending Texas to its first loss of the season.

Orioles 14, Indians 4

Baltimore

Brady Anderson hit two of Baltimore’s six home runs, and the Orioles routed Cleveland for a two-game sweep of the struggling A.L. champions.

The Orioles, 2-10 against Cleveland last year, matched the second-best start in team history at 7-1. Twins 6, Red Sox 5 Boston Minnesota took advantage of three errors and Brad Radke won his third straight start, leading Minnesota over Boston.

Boston, which had the most errors in the majors last year, committed two errors as the Twins took a 1-0 lead in the second. Three other misplays, only one scored an error, contributed to Minnesota’s other five runs. Boston has made 12 errors in eight games this season.

Yankees 5, Royals 3

New York

Ruben Sierra’s home run ignited a five-run second inning and left-hander Jimmy Key won his first decision in nearly a year as New York defeated Kansas City.

Key (1-1) allowed only three hits in five innings, but left the game with mild stiffness in his left shoulder.

Athletics 11, Brewers 0

Milwaukee

Doug Johns scattered five hits in eight innings and started three double plays, leading Oakland past Milwaukee.

Oakland snapped a five-game losing streak against Milwaukee. The Athletics beat the Brewers at County Stadium for just the second time in 16 games since 1993.

Blue Jays 7, Angels 4

Toronto

Tilson Brito doubled home the tiebreaking run in the seventh inning as Toronto beat California.

Jim Abbott (0-2) got two quick outs in the seventh before Otis Nixon singled. Brito doubled for a 5-4 lead, and Joe Carter followed with an RBI double.
