Rockies 7, Mets 3

Larry Walker, slowly breaking out of a season slump, hit a three-run homer and Colorado received a rare solid outing from a starting pitcher in beating New York.

Armando Reynoso (1-0), who retired the side in the second, third and fifth, went 6 innings, allowing six hits and three runs.
