Nature Field Seminar
Flora and fauna
Institutes based at each of the Northwest’s national parks offer an ambitious assortment of field seminars for nature lovers who have more than a casual curiosity for flora, fauna and natural history.
Seminars focus on ecosystems specific to the park. People interested in grizzly bears would look to Glacier and Yellowstone Parks. Those interested in marine mammals or intertidal life would zero in on Olympic and North Cascades parks.
All parks offer courses based from lodging or camping, involving topics such as birds, wildflowers, fish, art and photography.
