A guided field trip plus the latest research on the region’s wild drylands will be presented at the Columbia Basin Shrubsteppe Symposium Tuesday-Thursday at the Ag Trade Center in Spokane.
“It’s the sagebrush science event of the year,” one Bureau of Land Management spokesman said. The sessions are open to the public.
Topics focus on scabland flora and fauna, including neotropical birds, rare plants and critters as well as habitat restoration.
