Harry Murray Kellogg

Memorial service for Harry W. Murray, 82, will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Murray, who was born in Wisconsin, died Thursday.

He moved to the Silver Valley in 1935 and worked as an electrician for the Bunker Hill Mining Co. He also worked for the Sydney and Sunshine Mines, retiring in 1976.

He was a member of the Kellogg Elks, Disabled American Veterans, the Odd Fellows and served as a board member of the West Shoshone Hospital in Kellogg.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Leora; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lillian Bussler Colville, Wash.

Graveside service for Lillian Dorothy Bussler, 83, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Cemetery in Colville. Danekas Funeral Home in Colville is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bussler died Thursday. She was born in British Columbia.

She worked in her family’s general store in Laurier, Wash., while she was growing up. She later served as postmaster of the Orient (Wash.) Post Office for a number of years.

She moved to Colville in the early 1950s and worked as a cook for the Colville School District and as a clerk at Fuller’s Drugstore.

Three husbands preceded her in death; Ranso Kamstra, Roy Veltrie and Charles Bussler.

Mrs. Bussler is survived by one daughter, Virginia Sperber of Cheney; two sons, Ken Kamstra of Colville, and Steve Veltrie of Spokane; one sister, Helen Anderson of Wenatchee; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.

Howard Evers Sr. Medical Lake

Graveside service for Howard Albert Evers Sr., 75, was Saturday at Reardan Cemetery.

Mr. Evers, who died Tuesday, was born in Reardan, Wash.

He graduated from Reardan High School and served in the Marines during World War II.

He graduated from Kinman Business College and was a bookkeeper for the Chef restaurant, the Elks Lodge and Grambo’s restaurant. He retired in 1982.

He was a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 57.

He is survived by one son, Howard Evers Jr., of Lynnwood, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Helen Reuter Spokane

Service for Helen M. Reuter, 83, is planned for 2 p.m. today at Sunset Mausoleum Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Burial will follow.

Born in Butte, Mont., Mrs. Reuter died Thursday.

She was a 25-year Spokane resident and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Unity Church of Truth.

Mrs. Reuter is survived by her husband, Rudolph Reuter, and one sister, Janette Barnes of Spokane.

Randall Ford Jr. Tacoma

Rosary for Randall Ford Jr., 8, will be at 7 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Mausoleum at Fairmount Memorial Park. Burial will follow.

Randall died Wednesday in Seattle from cardiomyopathy. He was born in Wellpinit, Wash.

He was a second grade student and had been living in Tacoma. He previously lived in Wellpinit.

He is survived by his father, Randy Ford Sr., of Wellpinit; his mother, Connie Ellis of Tacoma; two sisters, Sherry Andrews and Randi Ford, both of Wellpinit; and his grandfather, Emil LaFontaine of Bellcourt, N.D.

Ellen ‘Nellie’ Ruckey Spokane

Service for Ellen “Nellie” Ruckey, 97, was held at an earlier date in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Burial followed at Porthill Cemetery in Porthill, Idaho. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ruckey, who was born in Porthill, died Tuesday.

She grew up and was educated in Porthill, before attending Kinman Business College in Spokane. She later worked as a clerk in several local general stores.

Mrs. Ruckey had lived in Chelan, Wash., and Montana before settling in Bonners Ferry, where she operated several dairy farms.

She later worked at a downtown cafe as a cashier before retiring. She recently moved to Spokane.

Mrs. Ruckey was a member of the Busy Bee Club, Trinity Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom.

Survivors include special friend, Marjorie Smith of Spokane; numerous cousins in Bonners Ferry and Spokane; and several adopted grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry.
