Teams To Compete In Problem Solving

More than 70 teams of students from throughout Idaho will compete in the “Odyssey of the Mind” creative problem-solving competition Saturday at Post Falls High School.

Competition will begin at 9 a.m. The awards ceremony will be held about 3 p.m. There will be teams from as far south as Declo and Meridian, as well as local teams from Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls and Rathdrum.

Participants will include elementary, middle school, high school and home-schooled students. They will demonstrate their creative solutions to five problems. Among them: “Amuising’ Cruisin’,” for which students have designed battery-powered vehicles on which to ride; and “OmVention,” featuring inventions to help the handicapped. , DataTimes
