Lowry Names Ally’s Associate To Bench
Gov. Mike Lowry on Thursday appointed the law partner of a key legislative ally to the King County bench.
Democrat Lowry appointed Michael Trickey to a vacancy on the King County Superior Court. Trickey is a partner in the law firm of House Minority Leader Marlin Appelwick, D-Seattle, one of Lowry’s staunchest supporters in the Legislature.
Lowry noted that Trickey was given the King County Bar Association’s highest rating for judicial appointment, “highly recommended.”
He is a magistrate and judge pro tem for the Shoreline division of the King County District Court and a judge pro tem for the Lake Forest Park Municipal Court.
