Prep Stars Sign With Eastern

Two high-scoring high school players and four junior college transfers have signed letters of intent to play men’s basketball for Eastern Washington next season, coach Steve Aggers said Friday.

The signees include Jeremy Killion, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound guard who averaged 32 points per game at San Diego’s Rancho Bernardo High and finished with 2,475 career points.

The other high school recruit is Deon Williams, a 6-3, 185-pound point guard from Verbum Dei High in Los Angeles. Williams led his team to a pair of state championships and averaged 25 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals per game.

Other players signed include Karim Scott, a 6-6, 185-pound small forward transferring from City College of San Francisco; Rodrick McClure, a 5-10, 170-pound point guard from Central Arizona; Michael Lewis, a 6-5, 200-pound guard from Monterey Peninsula (Calif.) College; and Jon Berger, a 6-8, 220-pound forward from San Joaquin Delta (Calif.) College.

The six recruits join three players who committed to Eastern Washington during the early signing period in November.
