Scabland Habitats

An expert-guided field trip plus the latest research on the region’s wild drylands will be presented at the Columbia Basin Shrubsteppe Symposium Tuesday through Thursday at the Ag Trade Center in Spokane. It’s the “sagebrush science” event of the year. Topics focus on scabland flora and fauna, including neotropical birds, rare plants and critters as well as habitat restoration. Fee: $25.
