Nike Foots Bill For Schools

Nike Inc. is giving the financially troubled Portland School District up to $500,000 in cash and equipment to keep sports programs alive.

The offer includes a $300,000 cash challenge grant. Nike has pledged to match any other contributions up to that amount for sports programs.
