Mall Developer’s Earnings Jump 50%

JP Realty Inc., the Salt Lake Citybased developer of the Spokane Valley Mall, earned 50 percent more in the second quarter of 1996 than it did during the same period in 1995.

Net income for the second quarter of 1996 was $5,841,000 compared with $3,904,000 in 1995. In the same time period, funds from operations increased 36 percent to $7,245,000. Revenues - primarily rents - increased 32 percent, from $13,905,000 to $18,408,000.

JP Realty Inc. owns or has interest in 44 properties, including 11 regional malls, with a total of 10 million square feet of leasable space in 10 western states. , DataTimes
