Retired Engineer Gets Lucky On No. 2
The second ticket was the charm for a retired civil engineer who won Wednesday night’s $2 million Lotto jackpot.
Mort Robbins, 57, of Rochester, 65 miles south of Seattle, picked up his first check of $72,000 Thursday after realizing his ticket - the second one - matched all six numbers.
Robbins had purchased a $7 ticket earlier in the week and bought a $5 ticket the day of the drawing.
When asked if he was lucky, he replied, “Obviously!”
