State Biologist Found Dead

An Idaho Fish and Game Department biologist was discovered dead early Tuesday, according to the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Department.

The body of Vince “Lance” Nelson, 44, was found by deputies at 6:45 a.m. He was working in the Coeur d’Alene River area at the time of his death.

It appears he died from natural causes, according to the sheriff’s department. An autopsy will be performed.

The death remains under investigation. No other details were available.
