A Hog It Ain’t, But Then …

Associated Press

Once Harley-Davidson settled down and got respectable, it was bound to happen: offspring.

The Milwaukee motorcycle maker is teaming with GT Bicycles Inc. of Santa Ana to build a limited edition of Harley-Davidson bicycles, GT announced Wednesday. The motorless hogs are to be out by Christmas at a price of $2,299.

Terms were not disclosed. GT said it would make 1,000 of the sleek seven-speed cruisers at its factory here.

Each numbered bike will have a black frame with red and cream-colored fenders and a Harleylike saddle. They will sport a simulated tank near the handlebars and a Harley emblem on the front.
