First Daughter Makes Visit To Yale

Associated Press

At some point, the Clintons’ little girl had to grow up.

Like thousands of other high school juniors, Chelsea is visiting college campuses this week. On Thursday, she toured Yale University, alma mater of her mom and dad.

Accompanied by her mother, Chelsea visited with Yale’s dean of undergraduate admissions and met a biology professor and a history professor. She was given a private tour of the Ivy League campus, led by an undergraduate, and also met a recent graduate.

The 16-year-old, who will be a senior this fall at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, has been visiting some of the nation’s best colleges all week. On Monday, she went to Harvard University and Amherst College. On Tuesday, she saw Brown University. She visited Princeton University on Wednesday, and Wellesley is reportedly on their agenda.

“We are terribly excited that she has shown an interest in Yale,” said university spokesman Thomas Conroy.
