Frances (Gibler) Simpson Busby Albion, Wash.

Memorial service for Frances T. (Gibler) Simpson Busby, 77, will be at 2 p.m. today at Albion Community Church. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Pines Cemetery in Spokane. Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Busby died Monday.

She was born in Absorakee, Mont., and graduated from high school there.

She moved to the Spokane Valley with her family in 1937.

In 1938, she married Andrew Simpson. He was killed in Italy .

She worked as a cook in state and medical institutions and retired as a cafeteria manager at Washington State University in the mid-1980s.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Busby; three daughters, Wilda Patton of Pullman, and Morrie Rowan and Terry Ann Post, both of California; two sons, Andrew Simpson of California and Joe Simpson of Rathdrum, Idaho; two brothers, Craig Gibler of Ritzville and Frank Gibler of Veradale; three sisters, Marybelle Cline of Florida, Dolores Gibler of Opportunity and Georgia Peterson of Arizona; 23 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Mary Henry Great Falls, Mont.

Rosary for Mary L. Henry, 69, will be held Saturday at 12:40 p.m. with Funeral Mass to follow at 1 p.m. at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Henry, a former Kellogg resident, died Tuesday.

She was born in Browning, Mont., and moved to the Silver Valley in 1969. She moved to Montana in 1993 and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Henry was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1993.

Survivors include two sons, Patrick and Michael Henry, both of Montana; five daughters, Maureen DeWitt and Joy LaMere, both of Montana, Gail Farmin of Bonney Lake, Wash., Brenda Kelly of Deer Park and Karen Cogger of Alaska; her mother, Rose Tatsey of Montana; two sisters, Rosalyn Carroll of Montana and Irma St. Germaine of Nevada; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth “Betty” Blakely Harrison

Private family service for Elizabeth I. “Betty” Blakley, 71, will be held at a later date. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Blakley, who was born in Missoula, died Tuesday.

She became a registered nurse at St. Patricks’s Hospital in Missoula during World War II. She moved to Harrison in 1958 and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Mrs. Blakley was also a 4-H leader.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Charles; two sons, Charles “Dick” Blakley of Harrison and Michael Blakley of Kennewick; two daughters, Betty Custis of Kellogg and Patricia Ruperd of Coeur d’Alene; two brothers, John Robbins of California and Frank Burris of Washington; two sisters, Jerry Butler of North Carolina and Ann Daly of Montana; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Gordon Schwerin Kettle Falls, Wash.

No service will be held for Gordon P. Schwerin, at his request. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Schwerin, 74, died Monday.

He was born in Ritzville, Wash., and lived in Kettle Falls for 70 years, retiring from Boise Cascade in 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Schwerin; a daughter, Judy Reagle of Kettle Falls; two sons, Henry Schwerin of Kettle Falls and Bill Schwerin of Clark Fork, Idaho; a brother, Grover Schwerin, and a sister, Pauline Clark, both of Kettle Falls; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Duane Fitzpatrick Woodburn, Ore.

Family memorial service for Duane Dale Fitzpatrick, 78, will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace in Spokane. Golden Funeral Service in Salem, Ore., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fitzpatrick, a former longtime Spokane resident, died Wednesday.

He was born in Westhope, N.D.

He graduated from high school in Spokane and was the Pacific Coast Golden Gloves boxing champion for the University of Idaho in 1936.

In 1940 he married Sarahgene Calbot. She died in 1990.

He served in the Army during World War II and worked for Armour Meat Packing Co. in Spokane for 45 years.

He moved to Woodburn in 1983.

Mr. Fitzpatrick is survived by a brother, Clayton Fitzpatrick, and a sister, Patricia Ann Barton, both of Spokane.

Louise Satterwhite Coeur d’Alene

Service for Louise M. Satterwhite, 88, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Rockford, Wash.

Mrs. Satterwhite died Tuesday.

She was born in Rockford and had lived in Coeur d’Alene for more than 14 years.

She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Coeur d’Alene. Her husband, Byron, died in 1971.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmie Satterwhite of Coeur d’Alene and Ben Satterwhite of Ocean Springs, Miss.; a sister, Mary Lou Walters of Gardena, Calif.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Lance Nelson Post Falls

Service for Lance Nelson, 44, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at BrowerWann Memorial Chapel in Lewiston. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Nelson, who was born in Idaho Falls, died Tuesday. He attended Ricks College, Idaho State University and the University of Idaho and worked in natural resources management.

Mr. Nelson had worked for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.

Mr. Nelson was a member of the American Fisheries Society and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; two stepsons, Brian and Shawn O’Connor, both of Lewiston; his mother, Ruth Nelson of Twin Falls, Idaho; and two sisters, Shawnee Kay Brown of Utah and Janee Hammerland of Idaho Falls.
