Fire Destroys Spokane Valley Home
Fire raced through a Spokane Valley house Saturday night, sending flames leaping from windows.
The house at 609 N. Bowdish was engulfed when firefighters arrived about 7:55 p.m., said Wayne Cumpton, Valley Fire battalion chief.
A bystander who used a garden hose to try and douse flames suffered a minor burn and was treated at the scene, Cumpton said.
The homeowners were at a neighbor’s house when the fire started. No one else was injured.
A fire inspector was searching the house late Saturday for clues to what sparked the blaze. The cause is believed to be accidental, Cumpton said. , DataTimes
