Mother Teresa In Stable Condition
Mother Teresa was breathing with the help of a respirator in an intensive care unit of a Calcutta hospital on Thursday. Her doctor said the Nobel Peace Prize winner was conscious and in stable condition.
Mother Teresa, 85, developed a fever Tuesday night and was immediately admitted to the Woodlands Nursing Home in Calcutta. She then developed cardiac problems and was put on a respirator in the ICU, Dr. Asim Bardhan said.
Mother Teresa’s fever persisted on Thursday, but the cardiac problem had been corrected, a hospital bulletin said.
