Two-Car Accident Blocks I-90 Traffic

Eastbound traffic on Interstate 90 was blocked for several hours early Saturday after a two-car accident near the Sherman Avenue interchange, Idaho State Police reported.

Gloria G. D’Andrea, 45, of Cataldo was driving a pickup loaded with hay at 11:30 p.m. Friday when a car driven by Lorien M. Poelstra of Coeur d’Alene struck her from behind. Both were traveling east.

The impact caused the pickup to roll, scattering hay across the eastbound lanes, according to the ISP.

Poelstra, 25, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence. Both drivers were taken to Kootenai Medical Center. Poelstra was treated and released. D’Andrea was released late Saturday. , DataTimes
