Paving, Curbing Approved
The Spokane City Council on Monday took several actions aimed at sprucing up the North Side.
Council members unanimously approved paying Shamrock Paving Company $31,429 to pave, curb and add sidewalks and storm sewers to Walnut Street from Maxwell to Mission avenues.
The council also:
Accepted the low bid from Inland Asphalt Company for $48,368 to pave, curb and add sidewalks to Courtland Avenue from Ferrall to Freya streets.
Set a hearing Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. to set assessments on the paving and curbing of Bemis Street from Crown to Sanson avenues. The project’s cost is $68,360.
Set a hearing Jan. 7 at 1 p.m. to set assessments on the paving of the alley between Euclid and Dalton avenues from Standard to Cincinnati streets. The project’s cost is $35,922.
Set a hearing Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. to set assessments for the paving of the alley between Broad and Wellesley avenues from Lidgerwood to Addison streets. The project’s cost is $30,897.
Set a hearing Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. to set assessments for the paving of the alley between Kiernan and Gordon avenues from Oak to Ash streets. The project’s cost is $17,241.
