Packet Engines Sees Rapid Growth

During its first year of business in Spokane, Packet Engines Inc. expanded its staff from five to 50. Now, company officials are saying the high-technology firm will employ between 200 and 300 people within a couple of years.

Packet Engines produces intellectual property and hardware for the Gigabit Ethernet market. Their products allow information to move within computer networks at faster rates than ever before.

The company is hosting a tour of its facilities and a buffet luncheon at noon today to mark the first anniversary of its operations here. The company is located at 11707 E. Sprague, Suite 306.
