Body Identified As Missing Man

From Staff Reports

Family members have identified the body of a man found in his car in the Spokane River Sunday night as 27-year-old Erick Forsberg.

Forsberg had been missing since Nov. 30 when he and a companion had been drinking at Chili-d’s, a downtown Spokane tavern.

On Sunday, a man walking across the Trent Avenue bridge spotted Forsberg’s car in the Spokane River.

An autopsy done on Monday determined Forsberg had no trauma or other signs of assault. Toxicology reports will be available in two weeks.

Police are still investigating the case. It still hasn’t been determined under what circumstances the car went into the river. , DataTimes
