Christmas Program Being Presented At North Hill Christian

North Hill Christian Church will present its Christmas program at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church, 4620 N. Post.

“A Strange Way to Save the World” will be performed by the Emanon Youth Choir. The junior choir will perform “The Promise.” A Christmas party will follow the performance.

North Hill Christian has recently formed a new singles group called “Solo Disciples.”

The group is open to singles of all ages, including those who have been widowed or divorced. The group will go on occasional outings to places and events in the area.

There are no regularly scheduled meetings yet, but the group is currently planning their next outing.

Choir, bells performing

The Spokane Junior Academy Choir and Bells will be performing at the Vespers service at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Central Seventh Day Adventist Church, 828 W. Spofford.

The choir will perform Handel’s “Messiah” at the sundown service.

Christmas programs Sunday

The choir of Whitworth Presbyterian Church, 312 W. Hawthorne Road, will present a Christmas cantata, “Nowell Nowell Emmanuel,” at the 8:30 and 10 a.m. services on Sunday. The program will include solos, readings, and flute and piano performances.

The Sunday school children will present their musical Christmas program Sunday at 6 p.m. The program will tell the story of Luke announcing the news of Christ’s birth.

‘The Littlest Star’

The children of Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church, 4449 N. Nevada, will present a Christmas pageant Sunday at 4 p.m. “The Littlest Star” is a reenactment of the Christmas story.

Children’s program Sunday

“The Chosen Star,” a Christmas program featuring the children of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 1926 W. Chelan, will be presented at the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday. Refreshments will follow.

Caroling in Deer Park

A community caroling party begins Sunday at 4 p.m. in front of the Open Door Congregational Church, 205 N. Main in Deer Park. Rev. Daniel Berg invites families to join the caroling. The Spokane Salvation Army Band will provide music.
