Minor Earthquake Detected

A small earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 occurred Sunday about 26 miles southwest of Mount Olympus on the Olympic Peninsula, the University of Washington Seismology Lab reported.

The quake occurred at 12:34 a.m. It was centered about 34 miles northwest of Aberdeen, and 20 miles below the earth’s surface, the agency said.

No damage or injuries were reported.
