Lloyd Hammons Rathdrum, Idaho

Graveside service for Lloyd Hammons, 66, will be held today at 1 p.m. at Hagerman Cemetery in Hagerman, Idaho. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hammons, who was born in Missouri, died Thursday.

He moved to Southern Idaho as a small child before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1966. He moved to Rathdrum in 1971.

He had worked as a federal meat inspector for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

He had played guitars in numerous western bands.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Barbara; son, Carl Hammons of Yellow Pine, Idaho; daughter, Carroll Burtzoff of Meridian, Idaho; brother, Bill Hammons of Meridian; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Shaun; and three stepgrandchildren, Joe, Tony and Dean.

Myrtle Cameron Bayview, Idaho

Graveside service for Myrtle Marie Cameron, 89, will be held at 1 p.m., Jan. 8, at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cameron, who was born in North Dakota, died Tuesday.

She was raised in Billings. Mont., and later lived in Spokane, and Kamiah and Lewiston, Idaho, before moving to Coeur d’Alene. She owned Merrill’s Cafe in Coeur d’Alene for seven years, before moving to Bayview in 1968.

Mrs. Cameron had owned and operated the Buttonhook Cafe in Bayview before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, in 1977.

Survivors include four nieces, Donna Murphy of Spokane, Carole Huber of Connecticut, Shelley Olson of Montana and Debbie Oney of Arizona; and one nephew, Larry Adams of Coeur d’Alene.

Mary ‘Ruth’ McWilliams Silverton, Idaho

Memorial service for Mary “Ruth” McWilliams, 91, will be held today at 1 p.m. at the Silver Wood Good Samaritan Center in Silverton. Shoshone Funeral Service in Wallace is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. McWilliams, who was born in Oklahoma, died Thursday.

She had lived in Indiana for many years before moving to California, where she managed a designer jewelry store. She moved to North Idaho in 1990 to be near family.

Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Buzunis of California and Mary Hays of Silverton; sister, Hallie Steinmetz-Bentz of California; four grandchildren, Kathy, Shauna, Linda and Timothy; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Silver Wood Good Samaritan Center, Seventh St., Silverton ID.
