Gun Used In Shoe Store Robbery

From Staff Reports

A masked man robbed a Spokane Valley shoe store Sunday, deputies said.

Clerks at Payless ShoeSource, 5428 E. Sprague, said the bandit walked into the store about 5:15 p.m, pulled out a gun and demanded money.

The robber ran out after grabbing an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt.

A police dog lost the man’s scent after tracking it a short distance. Deputies think the robber may have gotten into a car.

Witnesses described the bandit as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and dark blue pants.
