Abl Suspends Blizzard’s Slugger
Clarissa Davis-Wrightsil, a forward for the New England Blizzard, has been fined $1,500 and suspended without pay for two games for hitting a Seattle player in the head during the first ABL All-Star game, league officials said.
Davis-Wrightsil, who was playing for the East squad, was ejected Sunday after striking the Seattle Reign’s Cindy Brown as the two tangled for a rebound.
Brown, a member of the winning West squad, hit the floor hard and suffered a concussion. She was treated and released from Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center later that night. She will miss at least one game.
